Jehovah's witnesses Watchtower - If you are disfellowshipped, No more friends?
I have served Jehovah faithfully for 40 years, but 3 years ago I had to be disfellowshipped for wrongdoing. I was not repentant and had no intention of stopping my wrongful practice. There was no other recourse but to remove me from the clean Christian congregation. Have you heard of the phrase, " One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch?" I was that one bad apple. I hurt my God Jehovah, my friends in the congregation and my family and personal friends. I finally came to my senses because I saw and experienced first hand what the world has to offer. I was so lonely and missed the good spiritual ociation that I once had. Sometimes you don't appreciate what you had until you lose it. It's one thing to be a sinner. It's another thing to be a deliberate, unrepentant, willful sinner. It's as Hebrews 10:26 says,(New Living Translation,Tyndale) "Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God's judgment." I cleaned up my act and went through the disfellowshipping process. It wasn't easy but I came back with greater appreciate for what I had. From the way I can now see it, if a disfellowshipped person is allowed ociation with both the spiritually clean and the unclean then they have the best of both worlds and feel no need for repentance.
