Any advice for an aspiring lawyer/politician?

I am and 18 year old college freshman with a planned career as an attorney and as a politician. I am a proud GOP Red blood Republican from Bay Area California. I come from a poor Mexican-American (American born since the Mexican Revoulution). I plan on my mayoral campaign adressing the issue of police corruption by firing the sheriff and the chief of police if they don't stop harssasing minorities. And I also plan on brining more minorities to the GOP by "Giving them an hand-up, not a hand-out!!!" by creating oppurtunities instead of just feeding them gov't cheese and wellfare checks for the rest of their lives.
