What does it taste like when a salivary gland unblocks?

I know it'll taste "gross", because that's what the doctor told me, but I'm just wondering how bad. Or really just...what sort of taste it will be. Salty? Sour? Like regular phlegm? Just wanting to know what I should expect...thanks in advance.
