What could have happen if americans did not put Japanese-americans in camps after pearl harbor?

I know it was for the security of the nation after the attack on pearl harbor,and the possibility of spy's furthering the take over of america,why did we apologizes after, what about others now say muslims or any other race, what would happen if africa attacked america, would we put african americans in a camp until it was over, etc, they are so many questions, if we applied political correctness than would the security of america be in harms way?
