What is the life expectancy for someone with ventricular tachycardia?

I just found out that I have ventricular tachycardia in addition to a leaking heart valve. My doctor and mom both won't tell me how long people with my condition tend to live. Does anyone know? Please help. Them NOT answering is scary. :(
