Why do people look down on internet dating?

Some of us are like you and have dated people we met online. I am currently not seeing anyone but am chatting with a guy I met for a drink last month and that MAY turn into something. Too many people seem to think that EVERYONE that is online is a jerk which is totally not true. You just have to be careful and screen people before you meet. It's not rocket science after all !
